WebFileAttributes 1.3
Make your graphics and html files open in the application of your choice - and reduce filesize!
Using WebFileAttributes set of droplets (or small applications), you can change the application with which a web file (HTML, graphics, video or any other web based media) will open with one, easy, simple drag & drop. Simply drag the file you wish to change, onto either of the Webpages droplets included in this pack. One for each of the following browsers: Microsoft Explorer, Netscape Navigator/Communicator, iCab, Mozilla, Opera and, if you are using the OSX version, Safari, OmniWeb and Chimera (Navigator) is also supported.
With the Webpages or No resource droplets, you can easily change any file to open with the lightweight viewer PictureViewer for OS 9 or Preview for OSX (PictureViewer is part of Apples QuickTime), or remove its resource fork. The Graphics droplet will change any graphics file to open with PictureViewer/Preview, and it will also remove its resource fork. The filesize is more than halved, and any folder listings and/or folder size calculations will skyrocket in speed. If you plan on sending a bunch of pictures to your friends via email, you can effectively reduce the size (and thus time online) by using our Webgraphics droplet. The No resource droplet does the same, only without changing the file's creator code. By removing the custom "thumbnail" icon of a file, you can easily see what application the file belongs to, without having to do a get info on it.
WebFileAttributes was created with the TMDC Droplet Builder by The Macintosh Developer Center. For more information on creating your own droplets, please visit http://www.tmdc.org/dropletbuilder/.
